How do I customize my SlideDeck?

How do I customize my SlideDeck?

We offer a number of customization options with SlideDeck so you don't have to write a bunch of custom code for common configuration changes. Just pass a JavaScript object to the .slidedeck(); command to customize how your visitors will interact with your SlideDeck.

For example, if you want to make your SlideDeck play automatically, just set the autoPlay option to true and specify how often you want the SlideDeck to slide to the next slide with the autoPlayInterval option:

$('#myslidedeck').slidedeck({
    autoPlay: true,
    autoPlayInterval: 5000
});

If you SlideDeck you can also customize what the indexes at the bottom of each slide title bar display instead of just being able to turn them on and off. To do this, you'll pass an array to the index option. If you have more slides in your SlideDeck than indexes specified, it will just start over.

$('#myslidedeck').slidedeck({
    index: ['a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'e']
});

You can of course combine as many options in the object as you want. Order and white space does not matter, just make sure you separate each option with a comma. Here is what the combination of the previous two examples would look like:

$('#myslidedeck').slidedeck({
    autoPlay: true,
    autoPlayInterval: 5000,
    index: ['a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'e']
});

These are just some examples of the options you can pass to a SlideDeck. Check out the customization options in the documentation section for more information on the other options available.
